Greetings you epic bards and travelers,
It is time for another update from the Lands of Alethrion! We have been busy getting everything ready for you and we have spend a lot of time testing the game and balancing the rules. I have worked closely with a rules writer called Jonathan Bobal who made sure that everything was written in the best way possible. We don't want any confusement around the table!
The first batch of games arrived last friday all the way from Italy and I am very pleased with the feel and quality of it. We are still waiting for the miniatures and figurines for the ones who ordered the full version and we are also still not ready with the art book - we hope to have that at the end of the year.

We wanted the game to have a feeling of the Tales of Alethrion world, so each of the elements have been redesigned and the rules have been adjusted. The cards now have different backs and the map tiles have been completely redefined. I will get back with a video where I show a playthrough of the game - as I mention in the video, you can now also win as a team and not just alone. During the game, you have the option to become powerful much faster than the others if you choose to accept Greed Points during your journey. At the end of the game you might have to face both the final "Monster" boss and the other players, if you have been too greedy. But at that point - you might be strong enough to do just that.
During the game players will land on different platforms like the one illustrated above (City). These contains 1 or more scenarios where your heroes will be face other players' heroes or fight side by side with them on their way towards the legendary X on the map.
In the following months, I will be going into the different rules of the game so we take them in steps. You'll get the battle system explained, we'll show some scenarios, we'll have a look at how rounds work, items, spells and curses, etc.

The pledge manager is now open and we are sending out the surveys in the next couple of days. Make sure to fill them out to secure your rewards. We have added extra rewards that weren't available during the kickstarter, so make sure to check them out while you are there. Some of them are a limited stock from previous Kickstarter campaigns. Others - such as the Full Box Set version of the game - are available for those of you who didn’t get it automatically in your tiers, or for the ones who just want to buy extras for their friends. We are using BackerKit for the post campaign, so if you know anyone who missed the campaign then they can also access the page. It will be open for 3 months!

In order to help you super smoothly through the survey, here’s a quick guide:
Step 1: Open your survey link by email when you receive it.
Step 2: Grab any extras or add-ons that weren't included in your pledge.
Step 3: Fill out your shipping info and finish your order. If anything changes (like your address) head on back to the survey to update it.
Step 4: Lean back and wait for your epic package to be delivered. We'll do our best to deliver as soon as possible. Thanks to you we can easily collect your order and handle communication and delivery efficiently.
Once you’ve completed your survey, you'll have the chance to share some Tales of Alethrion love with your friends and followers.

We have been busy designing the rules booklet together with Jonathan J Bobal. If it is not in the rules then it is not in the game! We want it to be as fun to play as possible, and easy to get into. Next steps are to put everything in indesign and make it look legendary. Here is a little schedule for the year:
For the animation seekers we are soon coming out with an animated western tale called Align. It is a music video that we are making in a collaboration with Alex Smith, an Australian musician. Thanks to Alex and our Patrons, this is going to be a really epic film. We can’t wait to share it with you!

We reached our stretch goal of 24.000 usd! This used to be a new playable hero stampee that can be played as a starter character: the wizard, Vito! BUT, I am going to change the stretch goal list a little and focus on miniatures which means that I am ADDING a miniature and a matching stampee to ALL Full Box set pledges I would need your help to decide on which miniature we are going for in the comments.
